What data Ignyx stores
Ignyx stores the information you enter — daily calories consumed and burned, weigh-ins, and your goals — locally on your device only. This data is saved in the app's private on-device storage (Apple's SwiftData) and your device settings. It is never uploaded, transmitted, or shared with us or any third party. We have no servers and cannot see your data.
Apple Health (HealthKit)
If you choose to use the "Import from Apple Health" feature, Ignyx reads the following from Apple Health for the day you are entering, only to pre-fill the entry form so you type less:
- Dietary energy consumed (calories eaten)
- Active energy burned
- Resting/basal energy burned
- Body mass (weight)
Ignyx accesses Apple Health on a read-only basis. It never writes any data back to Apple Health. Health data read by the app is used solely to fill in your entries on your device and is never transmitted off the device, and is never used for advertising or shared with any third party. You grant this access through Apple's standard Health permission prompt and can revoke it at any time in the iOS Settings app under Privacy & Security → Health.
Data sharing
We do not sell, share, or transmit your data to anyone. There are no third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs in this version of the app.
Data retention and deletion
Because all data lives on your device, you are in full control of it. You can delete individual entries within the app, and deleting the app removes all of its data from your device.
Children's privacy
Ignyx is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them. As noted above, the app does not collect data from anyone.
